Lady Lynda Encounters

Lady Lynda tried to hide her trepidation  by taking deep she stepped out of  her house.    Of course  being true to her  etiquette expertise she took them in a ladylike fashion.     Then with her petition she took her first step to each door of her neighbors.   With reminding herself  it was imperative not to let Nicolas Venire escape justice for his vile shenanigans.   Her outfit was  a tasteful brocaded jacket and skirt and cream hued blouse with a tousled bow.   Her grey streaked  hair a conservative style and on her lips were a gloss of the touch of pink.  Yes her look was stylish yet conservative.    It was essential  she was  presentable to her fellow neighbors.

With that thought the woman began  at the corner  house  on the same block she and Seymour were living.    Steadied herself  by taking some deep breaths.  Then rang the doorbell and  hoped for the best.   The seconds seemed like hours as she waited to see if someone would come to door.    Seymour Toze’s wife made certain she made her rounds in the early evening when most people finished eating and it wasn’t terribly dark out.   The total number of blocks was twelve.  Close to the entire vicinity was canvassed.

She  told them  in plain but convincing language Nick Venire’s  deplorably decorated house  was  making the neighborhood a laughingstock  It  was diminishing its market value.  They couldn’t tolerate what he was doing a moment longer.

The determined woman was pleased as punch with her humanitarian efforts.  She  was on a mission and as those  not verbally as sophisticated as her,   she was on a roll.  Yes she was rolling toward victory.  Her efforts yes indeedy were  paying off.   She was as pleased as a fan seeing their fave moviestar in a movie.

Lady Lynda beamed with confidence with the results of her efforts   Now there was one more inhabitant to see.  That was newcomer  Erasmus Nutley.    The woman knew  absolutely nothing about him except he was recently moved there.    She was gung-ho to
